Lucianne Belanger of Caribou recently gave a gift of $100 to Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR) specifically to start a building account for the organization. Standing with her are several HHPR board members; they are, from left, HHRP President Norma Milton, Julie Damboise, Belanger, Sandra Milton and Jean Nadeau. HHPR is a “working” board with all board member volunteering individual services to the rescue from office work, direct animal care, foster care, website management, medical travel for the animals and food pantry services as well as fundraising. According to Milton, the $100 donation to start the building account will be kept aside from the operating funds to ensure that the financial means will be available for a Caribou Cat House Rescue. Donations to the building fund can be sent to HHPR, CAT HOUSE, PO Box 488, Caribou, ME 04736.
