AR William PlourdeCARIBOU – William J. Plourde, 80, beloved husband of Grace Plourde passed away on Thursday, November 11, at a Caribou hospital. William was born on July 2, 1930, in Stockholm, the son of Willie and Anna Saucier Plourde.

William worked at Tibbets T.V. and Appliance, Bennetts Hardware and Appliance, both of Caribou, Loring Air Force Base, Nicholson Glue of Boston, Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries of Boston, and retired from Ben Franklin Pierce Printing of Boston.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Plourde; three sisters, Amanda Bourgoin, Mildred Blanchette and Mary Jane Higgins. He leaves behind five sons, Roderick, Douglas and his wife, Flora, Father Carroll, Wilfred and his wife, Carol-Ann, William and his wife, Sandra. He also had five grandsons, six granddaughters, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

William was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Leo, Wilfred, Lionel, Rosaire, Joseph; and sisters, Isabell Lewis, Rose Boutot, and Laura Thibodeau.

Friends and family called on Monday, November 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, Parish of the Precious Blood, at Sacred Heart Church in North Caribou. The main celebrant will be his son, Rev. Carroll Plourde, SSE, with concelebrants, Rev. Jean Paul Labrie, Rev. Aaron Damboise, Rev. Michael Cronogue, SSE, Rev. Michael Jacques, SSE, Rev. Stanley Derienski, SSE, and and Superior General of the Society of St. Edmund, Rev. Paul McQuillen, SSE. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
