The Fort Fairfield Rotary Club’s latest guest speakers — Brian Hamel, Presque Isle Rotary Club’s tri-chair for the annual PI Rotary Auction’s special project; and Dixie Shaw, program director, Catholic Charities of Maine — explained that funds raised this year will be used to replace the roof of the Caribou food pantry, which is where the food is stored that serves 24 pantries throughout Aroostook County, serving about 33,000 citizens each year. Fort Rotarians agreed to pledge $1,000 to the project. Pictured, from left, are: Hamel; Fort Fairfield Rotary Club President Stefanie Beaulieu, who served as host for the day; and Shaw.
