Anyone out trick-or-treating on Halloween might have missed out on an amazing jack-o-lantern display if their routes didn’t happen to take them down to 15 Park Street in Caribou, where an amazing number, 138 to be exact, of hand-carved pumpkins greeted visitors.
Reanna Plourde, daughter of Russell and Melinda Plourde, decided it would be a great idea if the family’s record of 125 carved pumpkins (accomplished 10 years ago) was beat this year. With the help of family members and friends a two-day pumpkin carving party took place during which 138 pumpkins were stenciled and hand-carved, all lit with candles on Halloween night.
Russell Plourde greeted the evening’s trick-or-treaters dressed as the Pumpkin Man.
Pumpkin carvers included: Russell, Melinda, Stephanie and Reanna Plourde, Alissa Randolph, Haley Hunter, Mallorie Cyr, Regan Buck, Sabrina Haney, Gabby Gorence, Katelynn Tardie, Dylan Cyr, Kyle Wickstrom, Jacob Beaupre, Matt Frost, Justin and Emily Clayton, and Reid, Nick and Noah Margeson.
