WASHBURN — It is unusual in the current state of the country’s economy to find a small business who can manage to expand its services. Andy White and crew, of White’s Service, 1183 Main St. in Washburn, has recently accomplished this feat.

WHITE’S HIRES MECHANICS — Two new employees have been added to the crew at White’s Service in Washburn. Pictured from left are: Alton Tilley Jr., Rick Tarbox and owner Andy White.

Rick Tarbox, formerly self-employed as a mechanic, will be active at the garage, assisting with tires, service, oil changes, pumping gas, along with other various duties.
Alton Tilley Jr. will allow White’s Service to fully utilize the former Maynard’s building across the street from the garage, which was purchased by White a few years ago. He will be bring his advanced diagnostic skills to the full-service garage, bringing with him a very large tool box which takes up nearly the entire back wall of the building! Alton has enjoyed a full career in automotive repair, being a mechanic since 1981.
The two new crew members have been hired on to be a part of this expansion and will be joining current crew members Max Curtis, Kelly White and Drew White. Also appreciated is their dependable fill-in worker Willie Drost.
White’s garage is aiming to keep more local business in Washburn and welcomes others from surrounding communities to try their service.
