HOULTON – Maria Louise Putnam, 88, died Oct. 11, 2010 at a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 11, 1922 at Houlton, the daughter of Aaron A. and Marie (Hacker) Putnam.
Marie Louise was a member of the Houlton Unitarian Universalist Church. She first started working as an elementary school teacher, then as a secretary for Putnam Law Office and finally for Justice James P. Archibald.
She is survived by her brother, John Putnam of Houlton. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Aaron Hacker Putnam, and sister Elizabeth Putnam.
Private interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may make gifts in Maria’s memory to the Cary Library, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, ME 04730.
