CARY PLANTATION – Allen James Oliver, 72, died Oct. 7, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 28, 1938 at Cary Plantation, the son of Clarence and Beryl (Knapp) Oliver.
Allen was a life-long resident of Cary Plantation, where he attended schools and worked.
He is survived by his sisters, Joan Oliver Carrier and her husband, Robert, Joyce Oliver Botting and her husband, Charles; sister-in-law Jillian Joy Oliver; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Clarence, Jr., Urieal and Richard Oliver.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Amity Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Gifts may be made in Allen’s memory to Diabetes Research or Cancer Research, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton, ME 04730.
