XC teams 4th in Old Town

OLD TOWN — The Presque Isle cross-country teams posted fourth-place performances in Saturday’s 61st Old Town Sectional Invitational. The 3.1-mile race, ran under unseasonably hot conditions for fall, also featured runners from seven other schools.
The Wildcats must now ready themselves for the challenging Festival of Champions event Saturday in Belfast, which serves as a prelude to the Eastern Class B championship Oct. 23, also in Belfast.
In the boys race, the individual Wildcat results were: 5, Matt Eager, 18:05.89; 14, Logan Thibeau, 19:07.23; 27, Saul Nunez; 20:24.56; 34, Trevor Levesque, 21:02.07; 36, Matt Tilley, 21:22.93; 38, Michael Donovan, PI, 21:44.36; and 50, Tyler Michaud, 25:02.29.
In the girls race, the individual Wildcat results were: 3, Alecia Palmer, PI, 20:13.96; 18, Jaylee Fox, PI, 22:40.17; 20, Emily Wright, PI, 23:09.74; 30, Shelby Condon, PI, 24:53.40; 31, Amanda Bennett, PI, 24:57.67; and 38, Samantha Simonds, PI, 27:03.54.
