Flynn leads ’Cats to win
Last Tuesday at Presque Isle Country Club, the Wildcats (167 strokes) won by 18 strokes over the Vikings behind a 39 carded by sophomore Adam Flynn.
Presque Isle’s scores were: Gabe Player, 40; Alex Tuttle, 42; Nate Sperrey, 42; Travis Dyer, 44; Matt Freeman, 44; Evan Waddell, 45; and Jordan Hallett, 46.
Leading the Vikes were Caleb Chapman and Matt Kamm, both with 45s. Other Caribou scores were: Reggie Rideout, 47; Ben Wyman, 48; Cory Rideout, 57; Derek Dufour, 60; and Connor Thibeault, 71.
The Central Aroostook Panthers squared off against Katahdin and Ashland Friday. Logan McLaughlin of Central Aroostook and Brandon Robinson of Katahdin both shot 41s to share medalist honors.
Kaine Kingsbury shot a 46 and Sam Bennett a 66 for the Panthers, who fell to Ashland in the match, 6-5, and to Katahdin, 9-2.
Dylan Cyr-Cormier posted a 45 for Ashland, while Jordan Beaulieu had a 50 and Amos Ward and Keith Holmes both carded 60s.
