Community Living Association will be holding a Health and Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17 at the John Millar Civic Center.
The Fair is open to the public and it is for all ages.
Booths that will be highlighted at the event will be: 2-1-1 Maine; Aroostook County Action Program Resource Development-Childcare resources; Alpha One-Financial Wellness; American Red Cross-Blood Drive; Aroostook Mental Health Center-Healthy Relationships; Aroostook Area on Aging-Medicare education and Medicare fraud and abuse; Community Living Association-Direct support professional recognition in honor of National DSP Week; Community Living Association-basic stress/time management; Healthy Aroostook-5210 Let’s Go! tobacco cessation, Keep ME Well; Houlton Regional Hospital-infection prevention; Katahdin Valley Health Center -Dental Health; Mind, Body and Spirit-stress reduction; Serena Fitzpatrick-massage; Stepping Stones-car seat safety and Women’s Wellness Massage and Spa.
Highlights of the day will include a blood drive; blood pressure checks; body mass index calculations; blood glucose and total cholesterol checks for a small fee; child car seat checks and free car seat give-aways to those who meet income guidelines.
