Golfers had a hot week of practice and matches last week. The following is a recap of recent matches played through Sept. 6.

At the par 36 Houlton Community Golf Course last Wednesday, Houlton defeated visiting Caribou, 147-165.
For Caribou, the individual results were Ben Wyman 35 (medalist), Reggie Rideout 49, Caleb Chapman 41, Matt Kamm 40, Derek Dufour 56, Corey Rideout 52, Michael Boone 58, Connor Thibeault 70.
Fort Fairfield played a match Sept. 2 at home against Katahdin. The Tigers picked up a win with 7-1/2 match points compared to 3-1/2 for the Cougars.
Billy Weissman led the way for the winners with a 44 and shared medalist honors with Katahdin’s Brandon Robinson.
Landon Towle (45), Spencer Campbell (51), Noah Bernard (53) and Brandon Clark (55) were Fort’s other competitors.
