Wilcox named athlete of week

Andrew Wilcox was named Presque Isle Varsity Club and Big Cheese Pizza athlete of the week for Aug. 23-28.
Wilcox has become a silent leader for the boys varsity soccer team as he has helped anchor the defense, which did not allow a goal during the pre-season and was instrumental in helping the Wildcats preserve a 2-2 tie against Fort Kent in the regular season opener.
Wilcox received a large one-item pizza, courtesy of Big Cheese Pizza in Presque Isle.
