The Haystack Historical Society is in the process of developing the cloakrooms, more commonly known as coatrooms, at the School Museum. The Society is looking specifically for book bags, lunch pails, boots, jackets, hats or any items found in a school cloak room from the late 1800s through the early 1900s when the school was in operation. If you have any of these interesting items and would like to donate them to the Museum, please contact Secretary Myrna Gardner at 764-0290 or leave a message at the Haystack Historical Society at 764-4111.

LIBBY KINNEY of Mapleton, the daughter of Kevin and LeRae Kinney, celebrated her sixth birthday April 23, but chose to wait to celebrate with her friends in July so she could have a luau pool party at her house. Instead of gifts, Libby asked her friends to please bring a monetary donation for Bobbi’s Build An Ear Foundation. With the help of her friends and family, Libby gave $250 to the worthy cause and learned a valuable life lesson in sharing and giving. Attending the party are, from left, front row: Alanna Berube, Violette Gregg, Leta Perkins, Callie Junkins, Morgan Seward, Jacob Pangburn and Alexa Perkins. Back row: Clay Gregg, Addy Smith, Ben Duprey, Libby Kinney, Mia Casavant, Meg Casavant, Chase Guerrette, Mathew Hedrich, Connor Junkins and Erik Smith.
Happy anniversary wishes this week to Kevin and Jeanna Carter on Sept. 8 and Mike and Shelley Michaud on the 10th.
