Kathryn Callnan received the 2010 Excellence in Leadership Award from Aging Services of Maine and New Hampshire at their annual conference in May. She is a former Houlton resident who is now president and CEO of The Cedars, a non-profit senior living community in Portland.
Callnan was nominated for the award by Constantine L. Tsomides, CEO of Tsomides Associates Architects Planners. He cited her for her “passionate dedication to The Cedars and its vibrant senior population,” “strong personal qualities” and “her own example of dedication and adherence to the highest ethical standards.”
Aging Services of Maine and New Hampshire is an association of not-for-profit, long-term care providers of services to the elderly.
