The Fifth Annual County Shootout
Girls Basketball Tournament
The Fifth Annual County Shootout Girls Basketball Tournament was held earlier this summer in Fort Fairfield, with several teams from throughout the state and another from Canada competing. Washburn went undefeated during the tourney to win the title. Participating teams included Caribou, Easton, Fort Fairfield, Fort Kent, Island Falls, Limestone, Mars Hill, Madawaska, Narraguagus, Penobscot Valley, Schenck, Shead, Stearns, Southern Victoria and Washburn. Members of the winning team are, in front, Natalie Doody. In back from left, coach Kim Worcester, Taylor Thompson, Olivia Doody, Nicole Olson, Meghan Saucier, Rayah Saucier, Carmen Bragg, Mackenzie Worcester and Scott Olson.
