The Oakfield pickup softball team played in Patten during the Patten Pioneer Days Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament on Sunday Aug. 15. The team placed third out of five teams in the Round Robin, with the top four teams advancing to a championship round. Oakfield defeated the second-place team 12-10 in the first playoff game, and then topped the first-place Craig’s Clam Shop/Main Course team 12-11 for the championship.
