Stylists and service make Trendsetters successful

    Feeling like you want to pamper yourself or try a new hair style? Then Trendsetters in Houlton is the place to visit.
    Trendsetters is located on 92 Bangor St. and offers manicures, pedicures and facials, along with a full product line of Biolage, Joico Morocconoil and Agadir. Trendsetters also has tanning beds for use, as well.
    But, it’s not only the services that make Trendsetters appealing, but it’s the stylists, as well.
    “The girls have been with Trendsetters since its creation in 2002,” said co-owner Anne Callnan.
    Lori Irish, who Callnan calls a “talented” stylist has been doing hair for 24 years, and is also Trendsetters’ pedicurist.
    Another longtime beautician is Carol Naro, who has been in the business for 18 years. She is the nail technician, who does both manicures and acrylic nail applications. 
     Angel Patterson has been a beautician for 13 years. She is Trendsetters’ most sought out stylist, said Callnan. She does amazing cuts and colors. And, the newest member of the team is Samantha Mooers, who joined Trendsetters three years ago. She does “up dos” facials, along with styling hair.
    At Trendsetters, the customer is number one.
    “We are a service-based business,” said Anne Callnan. “There are other salons in town, so I feel it is important to go a bit ‘above and beyond’ for our clients. We try to make a fun experience out a of a visit to Trendsetters.”
    Anne Callnan, along with her husband Doug, bought Trendsetters three years ago, and know that customer satisfaction keeps the business growing.
    “You have to know your business,” she said. “You also need to know your clients and give them the best possible experience.”
