Craig’s Maine Course Restaurant at the VaJoWa Golf Course brings the coast of Maine to southern Aroostook. Nestled between Pleasant and Mattawamkeag lakes in Island Falls, Craig’s Maine Course offers both lunch and dinner, for hungry diners anxious to select from the restaurant’s impressive lineup, in a spacious dining room with coastal decor. Breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Owners Craig and Jennifer Hartsgrove have created a menu that will satisfy the most discerning palate and any-size appetite. The bill of fare offers items that are low-fat, baked or broiled in addition to fried.
Customers can relax for a true dining experience and choose any one of the premium menu items from fresh seafood, hand-cut steaks and chicken to fresh salads, pasta and wraps.
And, the Maine Course elevates pizza, burgers and sandwiches to new gastronomic heights utilizing the freshest ingredients. An impressive lineup of homemade desserts and a fully stocked bar complement and complete the dining experience.
Many customers look forward to Craig’s Maine Course for the Thursday night “Wing Night” special. The boneless chicken wings are the best around with five sauces to choose from. Craig’s has added a twist to the traditional northern Maine Haddock Fry with all-you-can-eat Maine shrimp. Customers can choose either perfectly fried haddock or shrimp for $9.95 or both for $10.95 — a great value. The Hartsgroves can accommodate a variety of occasions such as, anniversaries, birthdays, wedding receptions, showers, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, family or class reunions and memorial service gatherings. They offer a variety of excellent menu choices for those special occasions. And, there is always the option of holding the event outside during the summer or fall season. The restaurant is open year-round. The setting is beautiful at any time of the year.
“We have great food and we love what we do,” said Jennifer. “Customer service is the key to our business.”
