Aroostook Internet expanding coverage

PRESQUE ISLE — Aroostook Internet has completed several expansion projects this summer in an effort to provide wireless coverage to regions of Aroostook County that have previously been underserved.

As of this spring/summer, Aroostook Internet has replaced its McGillan tower which covers a large portion of Fort Fairfield, Easton, Presque Isle and Limestone. The firm has also added two more towers in Fort Fairfield, one on the Center Limestone Road and the other on Monson Pond, according to Dan Levesque, owner of the company.

Aroostook Internet has also installed equipment on a brand new tower, owned by North Star Tower Communications, to better serve the Caribou area.

“Our coverage in that area will widen immensely and improve the quality for those already receiving service,” said Levesque.

“If you have had a site survey previously and failed, you may now qualify. Call and AI’s experienced wireless technicians will be happy to evaluate your site again,” Levesque added.

Aroostook Internet Inc. takes pride in providing excellent customer service. “Contact one of our Internet technicians to see if you qualify for high speed wireless Internet. If you do not qualify for the wireless package, please ask us about our DSL and dial-up rates,” said Levesque. Aroostook Internet Inc. has been providing Internet service since 1995.

The Presque Isle-based company also offers a wide range of services which includes computer repair, Web design and IT/Networking, along with an office supply store under one roof at 51 North Street.
