MERRILL – Zelma Anderson Reed Lougee, 101, died Aug. 11, 2010 at Houlton Regional Hospital. Zem was born July 20, 1909 at Merrill, the daughter of John L. and Celia (Thompson) Anderson.
A life long resident of Merrill, she was a member of the Smyrna Mills Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Zem is survived by her daughter, Brenda Reed Thompson of Merrill; her granddaughter, Michelle Thompson Calbi of Westerly, RI; two great-granddaughters, Lauren Reed Calbi of Merrill, and Christina Marie Calbi of Westerly, RI; two nieces, Patricia Brannen Pearson and Priscilla Brannen Swallow; two nephews, John Brannen and Victor Brannen; several great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Victor Reed, and her second husband, Paul Lougee.
Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Saturday at 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rohdin officiating. Interment was in the Dyer Brook Cemetery.
