Swimm, Mona E., 89, August 15, 2010.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment held in the Linneus Cemetery.
    LINNEUS – Mona E. Swimm, 89, died Aug. 15, 2010 at a local health care facility. She was born June 30, 1921 at Linneus, the daughter of James and Edna (Henderson) Ruth.
    Mona was a member of the Linneus Free Will Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
    She is survived by one son, James Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Topsham; two daughters, Jill and her husband, Galen Quint of Hodgdon, Beverly and her husband, Alan Nickerson of Plainfield, CT.; one brother, Lewis Ruth of MA; a sister, Dorothy Stackhouse and her husband, Carlton of New Limerick; daughter-in-law Nancy Swimm; 10 grandchildren, Jan, Tracey, Mike, Alanna, Nina, Pete, Jim III, Ryan, Christopher, and Crystal, 9 great-grandchildren, a special friend, Evelyn Nason, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Sr., son Robert, brother Howard and sister Marjorie Irish.
    Funeral services will be held at the Dunn Funeral Home 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Marilyn Rohdin and Pastor Gerald Bullock officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 12 noon Wednesday until time of services. Interment will be in the Linneus Cemetery.
