    HOULTON – Ernest E. Saunders, 82, died Aug. 12, 2010 at a local health care facility. He was born May 2, 1928 at Oakfield, the son of John and Josephine (Brannen) Saunders.
    Ernest serviced with the US Military and was employed for many years with the B&A Railroad.
    He is survived by his wife, Annie (McAdam) Saunders of Houlton; two sons, Rodney and his wife Patty of Houlton, Wayne and his wife, Tammy of Linneus; two step-children, Alta Reardon and her husband, Shirley of Houlton; Marvin Bragdon and his wife, Linda of Salem, OR; one granddaughter, Tiffany Saunders; step-grandchildren Chris, Lee, Sean and Kent Reardon, Jimmy and Tammy Bragdon, Reneé Devoe; seven step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Eldora Foster.
    Friends called 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton. Services were held 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Interment with military honors was held at the Houlton Evergreen Cemetery.
