Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Curry have returned home to Pine Point after spending a few days at the Curry homestead and taking in some of the Summerfest activities. They also visited in Houlton with Mr. and Mrs. Louis Curry.
Mrs. Ophelia (Duguay) Lapore has recently spent two weeks at Vacationland Estates and did a lot of touring around the County visiting with relatives and friends. She is a former resident of Island Falls now living in Scarborough.
On Aug. 6, Ted and Terry Pettengill hosted an outdoor luncheon at their home in Patten for the Class of 1965, Island Falls High School. It was a fun time with a lot of good memories being recalled and some of the bad ones, too. Those who attended were Sharon (Desmond) Porter, Old Town; Diane Curry, Portland; Sharon (Watson) Long, Patten; Larry Given, Lirchfield; Tim Hathaway, Texas; Brenda (Webb) Willette and Sheila (Webb) Smith, Island Falls. They all enjoyed the company of the Pettengills’ pet dog who had a great time getting tidbits from everyone.
And on Aug. 8, the Pettengills were once again hosted at an outdoor luncheon at their home and this time it was a family affair. There were tables and chairs set out on the spacious lawn out behind the house and everyone brought good food to be enjoyed during the afternoon. Family members came from near and far and some even came by boat from the foot of Mattawamkeag Lake.

Vernon, Me., Paul and Jean (Pettengill) Hamlin, Presque Isle, Pauline Robbins, Alan and Paula Chamberlain, West Point, Va., Caleb Pettengill and Ashley Brackett, Bangor and Riva Hawkes.
