LIMESTONE — Faculty and staff at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics (MSSM) proudly welcome the school’s 15th class of high achieving high school students.
Thirty-six new students and families will enroll at Maine’s only public, residential magnet school. They hail from fourteen counties and twenty-six schools and are a representation of Maine’s brightest and best students. According to MSSM officials, the school’s students come with a variety of interests, accomplishments and aspirations in and outside of the classroom, which add tremendous value to the existing programs at MSSM.
The Maine School of Science and Mathematics is located in the town of Limestone in Aroostook County and is known for its rigorous and challenging academic program in science, mathematics, technology, and humanities. The unique residential experience provides students with a close-knit learning community and wonderful growth opportunities extending beyond the classroom. The academic program, coupled with the residential experience, provides students with the preparation that they need to succeed at even the most challenging of colleges and universities.
