To the editor:
Thank you for agreeing to join us again this Friday for our Tie Dying Extravaganza and your Customer Appreciation Day for the Aroostook Republican. We absolutely can’t wait, and we’re pretty sure there are lots of young people who can’t either!
We’re going to be ready this time: we have 800 T-shirts, and while you’re busy grilling, we’ll make sure to keep a few aside and dye them just for all of you! We’ll also be having Tattitudes come from Houlton, who we’ve been assured by Mrs. Lori (Fabulous Houlton Chamber Director) Weston, are fabulous too! So be thinking about what you need airbrushed — we’ll try to get you in early before the lunch rush! Everyone will be welcome to bring anything else they’d like to tie dye. Our friends at Cary have given us 1,000 pairs of gloves, so we should have enough to go around, and no one should have to have grey hands into the next week! We’re watching the weather channel like hawks, and we’ve all been fairly well behaved recently, so we hope the weather gods will be good to us, as we have big plans for chalking the retaining walls, and we have lots of goodies which would rather not get soaked for the children! We have a few special things the ladies ordered just for the Aroostook Republican folks, and while Jeannie thinks they may get in the way of grilling, we’ll let you keep them for after, so as to not feather up the food!
