Tux, approximately two years old, is very sweet, clean, loving and anxious to please. Leukemia tested, neutered, all shots and wormed he is free during Halfway Home Pet Rescue’s “August Free Adult Cat Month.” All cats over the age of 6 months that are leukemia tested, spayed/neutered, all shots and wormed will be free to the right family during August. Applications will still be mandatory and references checked prior to adoption. There are currently many beautiful adult cats in need of homes before HHPR can rescue additional cats in need. Adult cats will be at Toby’s Treasures on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the Caribou Cares about Kids festivities. Contributions of returnable bottles at 88 Bennett Drive Redemption and to our collection jars in city businesses are greatly appreciated, assisting in the cost of spay/neuter program. Toby’s Treasures Store is doing well and donated items are accepted on Tuesday through Saturday afternoons from noon to 4 p.m. For more information go to www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org or on petfinder.com or stop in at Toby’s Treasures on Sweden St., in Caribou next door to Burger Boy.
