Twilight League will wrap up this week. With one match remaining, Greg Douglas and Bill Boulier still hold the number-one spot in the National League, while Scot Walker and John Smallwood hold on to first place in the American League. Last week’s closest to the pin winners were Bill Dwyer on the 11th hole, and Evan McCarthy on the 16th hole.
Winners for this week’s Couples’ League were Francis and Sally Cyr and Greg Gayne and Bev Osborn. Second place went to Greg and Sara Douglas and Wallace and Jeanette Harvey. Third place went to John and Betty Smallwood and Ralph and Valerie Powers. The couples have had a great time all summer long and encourage any new couples to come out and join Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m.
The County Open is quickly approaching. Make sure you check out all of this year’s details on www.countyopen.com, and also get in your registration for the stroke play tournament, as well as the scramble. This year’s stroke play event will take place on the 13th and 14th of August, with the Scramble finishing up a great weekend of golf on Sunday the 15th.
