ImageImage   Wendell B. Bither Sr., 83, of Bolton, beloved husband of 58 years to Norma (Miller) Bither, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
    He was born July 23, 1926, in Linneus, Maine, son of the late Maurice and Beryl (Stewart) Bither and he had been a resident of Bolton for over 53  years. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was a partner for over 20 years with Miller Brothers Inc. and more recently was owner/operator of Wendell’s Concrete Service. He enjoyed caring for his home and was an avid gardener. He was also an active member of Baptist Fellowship of Columbia, CT for over 40 years.
    In addition to his wife Norma, he leaves his three children, Wendell B. Bither Jr. of Bolton, Cynthia Bither of Shady Side, MD and Erica Boerman and her husband, Todd of Jenison, MI; two grand-children, Audrey and Lewis Boerman of Jenison, MI; his brother, Hartley Bither of Boca Raton, FL; his sister, Mildred McIntosh of Houlton; many neices and nephews.
    A memorial service was celebrated on Wednesday, July 21, at 7 p.m. at the Baptist Fellowship of Columbia, 195 Route 6, Columbia, CT. There was a private burial in Linneus.
