Madore is a native of Northern Maine, and has worked as a Fort Kent police officer, retired from the Maine State Police with twenty years of service, and served as Limestone’s Chief of Police. He is a graduate of the National Sheriff’s School and the FBI National Academy. For the past nine years, he has served as Aroostook County’s Sheriff. Rotarians were surprised that the Sheriff’s Department takes care of civil court administration services, dispatching, and inmate transport from Oakfield to Fort Kent and only employs six full-time patrol officers. The department also heads up the Crime Stoppers and DARE programs for the area while assisting the Maine DEA. With Madore is Scott Dionne, Rotary vice president.
