Anderson graduates from basic training

    Air Force Airman 1st Class Douglas J. Anderson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
    The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
    Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Anderson earned distinction as an honor graduate.
    He is the son of Sherry Watson of Houlton, and Carl Anderson of Burlington, Vt. Anderson graduated in 2002 from Houlton High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in 2006 from The University of Vermont, Burlington.
