Woodland – Anna M. Anderson, 73, died peacefully June 7, 2010, surrounded by her family at her Woodland residence. She was born in Allagash, February 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Edward and Isabelle (Michaud) Jandreau. Anna was a cancer survivor of sixteen years, always fighting with a positive attitude throughout her illness. She loved to garden, cook and be with her family. She was a dedicated worker in everything she did, from working on the family farm to simply helping others.
Anna is survived by her longtime love, husband and friend, Vincent Thomas Anderson Sr. of Woodland; her son, Vincent Thomas Anderson Jr. and his wife, Karen of Woodland; her daughters, Cynthia Anderson and her husband, James McManus of Bath, Pa., Bonnie Ouellette and her husband, Donald, Wanda Anderson and her husband, Peter Deveau, Della Anderson and Marcy Anderson all of Woodland; one brother, Sam Michaud of Gaylordsville, Conn.; three sisters, Ethel Mae Pelletier of St. Francis, Letha Kelley of Allagash and Loretta Thompson of St. Francis; six special grandchildren, Erica Anderson, Joseph Ouellette, Anna Ouellette, Vincent Anderson III, Jacob Anderson, and Mackenzie Deveau; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by her step-father, Donut Michaud and two brothers, Louis and Merle Jandreau.
Private family services will be held at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A traditional “Celebration of Life”, an annual Anderson family gathering, will be held later this summer at the family farm in Woodland for family and friends. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
