Erin Kashian, a grade-five member of the “Brainiacs” team, was named Student of the Month for May by her teachers Mrs. Nella Ouellette and Mrs. Cindy Levasseur.
The CMS teachers stated, “Erin exemplifies a student who is very curious, imaginative and academically talented. She is a high honors student and is in the Gifted and Talented program. A participant of the CMS band/percussion, chorus and show choir, Erin also enjoys being in the Girl Scouts, playing tennis, baseball and swimming. She is very pleasant and is respected by her classmates and teachers.
Maddie Doucette is the fifth grade “Explorers” team Student of the Month for May.
Her teachers, Mrs. Jola Hebert and Mrs. Deede Duncan said, “Maddie is a quiet, gentle, kind student who works extremely hard and does great academically. She is involved in many extra-curricular activities and is a great help to her teachers. Maddie is always a friend and helps anyone in need. Her school spirit is evident and she is a great asset to the Caribou Middle School.”
Ethan Plourde, a grade-six member of the “Six-ceeders,” team, was named Student of the Month for May by his teachers Mr. John Pelletier, Mrs. Ruth Dionne and Mrs. Cathy Bouchard.
The CMS team teachers said, “Ethan has earned highest honors throughout the year and is placed in advanced math. Not only is he an exceptional student, he is a very polite and considerate individual. Ethan is well respected by his peers and is never too busy to help anyone having difficulty in an assignment. His strong work ethic and sense of humor make him very popular among his classmates. Ethan is also a member of AYBL basketball, as well as member of the tennis, soccer and ski teams.”
Trevonte Caudill, is the Student of the Month for May from the sixth grade “Super-sixers” team. He was chosen by his CMS teachers Mrs. Jen Quinlan and Ms. Sarah Lajoie, who stated, “Tre has shown tremendous growth this year, showing great improvement in both effort and ability in all of his classes.”
The two faculty members also said, “One area that has been consistently impressive to his classmates as well as his teachers is his positive attitude and outgoing personality. Tre’s friendly demeanor makes him well-liked by all who have the opportunity to work with him, he is a very honest and hard-working young man.” An active participant in the classroom, Tre was also a member of the CMS wrestling and track teams this year.
Dylan Theriault, a seventh grade CMS student was named Student of the Month for May by his teachers, Mr. Steve Perreault, Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt, Ms. Shelly Richardson, Mrs. Mary Curtis and Mrs. Kim Barnes. The team teachers said, “A gifted problem-solver, Dylan has made tremendous academic growth this year by developing good work habits. His school work is consistently prepared on time and he can often lead class discussions in any subject matter,” they added.
The CMS teachers also stated, “Dylan is a good friend, always kind to others and very respectful to everyone; he can be seen lending a helping hand to teachers and students alike. He possesses a positive attitude and his humor is contagious.”
Nicole Wickstrom has been named Student of the Month for May by her grade-seven teachers Mr. Steve Perreault, Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt, Ms. Shelly Richardson, Mrs. Mary Curtis and Mrs. Kim Barnes.
The seventh grade teachers stated, “Nicole is a great school citizen by being helpful with her peers as well as teachers. She also represents school spirit by being a member of the tennis team, band and student organization throughout the school year.
Logan Holck, a grade eight CMS student was selected as Student of the Month for May by his teachers Mr. Ralph Fantasia, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Jennifer Rand, Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper and Madame Carpenter.
The eighth grade faculty members said, “Logan has taken part in talent search for the past few years. He has made Honor Roll on numerous occasions during his time here at CMS as well and has been a member of the cross-country team and the seventh grade basketball team.”
“Logan is a pleasant student in the class and is one who is always quick to lend a helping hand to a teacher or fellow classmate throughout the year,” his teachers added, “and he assisted in maintaining the laptop cart in his homeroom.”
Briana Rossignol, a CMS eighth-grade student was chosen as Student of the Month for May by her teachers Mr. Ralph Fantasia, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Jennifer Rand, Mrs. Jessica Dow and Mrs. Shannon Sleeper who said, “Briana was chosen because of her willingness to help others and her ability to set an example for all who attend. CMS.”
The five teachers also stated, “Briana is a member of the soccer, basketball and track teams at the Caribou Middle School and is always willing to help a fellow classmate or teacher, often without being asked. She is a wonderful role model to all students and sets a great example regarding schoolwork and the treatment of fellow classmates, teachers and other adults.”
