Voicing concerns over future of Viking Video program

Class taught teamwork

To the editor:
I heard that Viking video productions was going to be shut down. I want my voice to be heard about this.
Viking video is an adventure I wouldn’t want my kids or any of our youth today to miss out on. I don’t just look at movies in a different light that is extraordinary, but I also came to look at life in a different light as well.

That class was not just a class. The students there became close friends and the teacher, Mrs. Jepson was the mother hen we could trust and confide in. Every school needs that one teacher you can go to when things are wrong or even when things are right. There are many memories that are held within the walls of that classroom and I’m hoping many more for the future.
The Viking video program taught me discipline and hard work in a working world that is now becoming lazy. Teamwork and partnership are also two key things that class teaches. I think those two things, partnership and teamwork, are the two most important. I know, without the stress and knowledge that that class gave me, my passions and ambitions would not be as strong as they are today.
To close my letter, that class was my family and it has taught me a lot about work, friendship, and about following my dreams to wherever they may go. That happiness can be just around the corner if you let it. I think everyone should have the opportunity to get what I’ve gotten out of that class.
