Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library

 

    The Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library hosted the fourth Presque Isle Chess Open on May 1. Maine Chess Champion Roger Morin, at right, won the tournament after a final game against Roger Hardison, at left, of Caribou. The event attracted six players, with Ray Haines of Fort Fairfield taking second place in the competition. For those interested in competing, the next tournament will be held on Saturday Sept. 4, at the library. For more information, contact Dianna Leighton at 764-2571.
