Grant awarded to girls hockey

The Aroostook County Committee of the Maine Community Foundation recently awarded $4,000 to Presque Isle Minor Hockey to help form a girl’s varsity hockey team. With community support, the Presque Isle Minor Hockey is looking forward to developing a program which will be the most northern girl’s hockey program in the state.

The Aroostook County Fund, the source of this grant, and a fund managed by the Maine Community Foundation, is built through donations from the community.  Those wishing to donate to the fund should contact Pam Scheppele at (207) 540-6494 or pscheppele@mainecf.org.
A statewide organization with offices in Ellsworth and Portland, the Maine Community Foundation has been partnering with donors and nonprofits to strengthen Maine communities for over 25 years.
