The Limestone Freemasons recently established at Bikes for Books program for the second grade students at the Limestone Community School; the fraternal organization challenged each second-grade student to read for a total of 1,000 minutes between April 5 and May 14 and every single second-grade student met the challenge. As a reward, the students each received a free bike and bike helmet; they also received bicycle safety tips from Limestone Police Officer Eagle. Second-graders who received a bike and helmet for their reading commitment included, from left, Mason Smith, Taylor Labreck, Kayla Sharp, Latoya Trenchard, Braydon Martin, Hannah King, Madison Smith, Trinity Harrison, Wyatt Fulton, Austin Panzer, Tiffany King, Raegan Davis, Jordan Patten, Anthony Booth, Kerigan Deschenes and Edmund Mignacca. Please see next week’s issue of the Aroostook Republican for additional photos and a story.
