Easton academic awards presented
EASTON — Georgette Ireland, Easton Jr/Sr High School principal, and Lynda Foren-Turner, guidance director, presented awards for academic excellence and perfect attendance during the Academic Awards Banquet held May 13.
The following high school students received awards. Certificates were presented to the following:
• Freshmen — Justin Guerrette, Harvey Brown, Melissa Pelkey, Kennedy Young, Mindy Desmond and Logan Sutherland;
• Sophomores — Mikaela Hathaway and Abigail Poole;
• Juniors — Jonathan Kimball and Brooke Hammond; and
•Seniors — Taylor Burtt, Eric Gray, Krystle Gadaire and Nicholas Ambrose.
Students who were eligible to receive a letter were:
• Freshmen — Lauren West, Jared Hafford and Carla Halvorson;
• Juniors — Brittany Tompkins, Brittanee Blodget and Katie Cyr; and
• Seniors — Zackari Bourgeois and Bryan Young.
Honor pins were presented to:
• Sophomores — Reid Clark, Jessica Bennett, Danielle Dudley, Amanda Dayringer, Ariana Babineau, Jonah Bacon, Meghan Frank and Holden Turner;
• Juniors — Samantha Fuller; and
• Seniors — Luke Budreau.
Calculators were presented to:
• Sophomores — Jessica Bennett, Danielle Dudley, Amanda Dayringer, Ariana Babineau, Jonah Bacon, Meghan Frank and Holden Turner; and
• Juniors — Samantha Fuller, Zachary Clark and Jacob Bacon.
Plaques were presented to:
• Juniors — Jacob Bacon and Sydney Trask; and
• Seniors — Anna Sherwood and Corey White.
Savings bonds valued at $50 each were presented to: seniors Luke Fuller and Kaitlin Bennett.
A $100 gift certificate went to: Lisa Dayringer, a senior.
Perfect attendance pins were presented to:
• Grade 7 — Nicholas Clark; and
• Sophomores — Reid Clark and Amanda Dayringer.
Lynda Foren-Turner presented the President’s Award for Educational Achievement to seniors Taylor Burtt and Nicholas Ambrose.
The President’s Award for Educational Excellence was presented to: Senior Class members Lisa Dayringer, Kaitlin Bennett, Luke Fuller, Anna
Junior high students honored:
• Grade 8 — Haley Ambrose and Hunter Turner received $30 gift certificates. Joshuah Salkind, Haley Ambrose and Hunter Turner received excellence pins. Joshuah Salkind received an honor roll pin. Colby Pangburn, Ian Sotomayor, Stephanie Hammond and Cameron Young received letters. Katelyn Tompkins and Mariah Cyr received a certificate; and
• Grade 7 — Madison Leach, Kristen West, Kylee Carter, Nicholas Clark, Kelsey Frank, Alexandra Allen, Kerrigan Arnett and Ashley Hersey received honor roll pins. Joshua Gilman, Taylor Brown, Nichole Dudley, Abigail Thompson, Cody Halvorson, Madison Leach, Kristen West, Kylee Carter, Nicholas Clark, Kelsey Frank, Alexandra Allen, Kerrigan Arnett and Ashley Hersey received letters. Hannah Ferris and Caitlin Monroe received a certificate.
Lynda Foren-Turner presented the President’s Award for Educational Achievement to Grade 8 student Colby Pangburn.
The President’s Award for Educational Excellence was presented to Grade 8 students Haley Ambrose, Joshuah Salkind and Hunter Turner. Sherwood, Corey White and Luke Budreau.
