    Cameron Anderson recieved the Peter Ouellette Scholarship and Ashley Doucette received the Caribou Little League Scholarship for 2010. Both played in the Caribou Little League and are now on their respective Caribou varsity teams.

    Summaries of recent games follow:
S.W. Collins 21, Eagles 8
    On May 24, the Eagles swooped into town bent on upsetting the S.W. Collins squad.
    The Eagles struck first at the top of the first as Hunter Milliard laced a hard-hit double before Corey Moir pasted the right field foul line for an inside-the-park home run.    
    Collins came roaring back though in the bottom of the inning as Donovan Savage drew one of four of his walks at the plate, while Gabe Massey started the runs pouring in with a solid single.
    Savage, who also had a single, scored four runs on the evening. Massey went 2 for 3 with two runs and three RBIs, while teammate Zach Wright crushed an inside-the-park home run in the fifth and came up a single short of the hitting for the cycle. Wright finished 3 for 5 with three runs and four RBIs. The younger Wright, Tyler, also had a good game by going 1 for 2 and scoring three times.
    Andrew Geer scored twice and Taylor Miller also crossed home plate two times and knocked in a pair of runs. Zach Wright went 4-2/3 innings and struck out 13 to gain the pitching victory. Savage closed it out by going 1-1/3 innings and fanning two.
    Milliard went 3 for 3 on the day with two runs and two RBIs. Erin McBreairty hit a fifth-inning triple and scored for the Woodland team. Moir, Milliard and McBreairty did the pitching for the Eagles.
Savings Bank of Maine 23, Shop ’n Save 4
    Tyler Raymond accumulated 11 strikeouts and didn’t allow a run during his stint on the mound as Savings Bank of Maine won big on May 20.
    Raymond scored four runs, Spencer St. Peter had an inside-the-park home run and Kyle Tibbetts scored twice to lead the winning offense. Jaelynn Doody showed speed on the basepaths throughout the game, while Karlee Willett, Trey Caudill and Andy Russell also added to the winning attack.
    Shop ’n Save’s Kerrigan Manter showed determination while continuing to pitch despite injuring her thumb on a batted ball.
K of C 5, North Stars 4
    On May 18, pinch-runner Nick Sleeper, who entered the game in place of Jo Jo Fields, who had walked in the bottom of the sixth inning, stole second and third and scored on an error to provide the margin of victory.
    Jillian Flynn and Connor Plourde both singled and Ricky Sheldon doubled for the Knights.
    Gunnar Bondeson singled and doubled, while Kevin Bither, Andrew Christie, Josh Quint and Shane Findlen all singled for the Stars, who scored twice in the top of the sixth to grab the short-lived lead.
    Sheldon was the winning pitcher in relief of Plourde, with Bondeson suffering the loss in relief of Bither.
Shop ’n Save 12,
Woodland Eagles 7
    Shop ’n Save picked up its first win of the young season with a 12-7 victory over the Woodland Eagles May 18.
    Ben Ezzy had four hits, scored four runs, and had three RBI and Dustin Demerchant had three hits, including a double and an inside-the-park home run, and drove in five runs to lead the winners. Axios Gerakaris chipped in with two hits and scored twice and Colton Conley scored three runs and added a big two-run single. Kerrigan Manter got the win on the mound, with help from Gerakaris and Ashton Beaver.
    For the Eagles, Corey Moir had two triples and drove in three runs, Shawn Doody had three hits and two RBI and Hunter Milliard added two hits and three RBI to lead the Eagles attack.
    The game, played in Woodland, was called in the bottom of the sixth inning due to darkness, with Shop ’n Save leading 17-13, so the final reverted back to the score after five complete innings.
S.W. Collins 8, VFW 6
    S.W. Collins received a complete-game performance from Gabe Massey, who fanned 12 batters and walked just one, in the victory over VFW on May 17.
    At the plate, Collins battled back from a 4-0 deficit to take the lead in the bottom of the third inning. Wright went 2 for 2 with a walk, two RBIs and tw runs scored. Andrew Geer had a big day with two doubles and Taylor Miller went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. First-year players Nic Allen and Chandler Bell both reached base safely and second-year player Cory Jandreau collected his first hit of the year.
    VFW’s Brandon Tweed went 3 for 3 with two runs scored. Evan Desmond went 2 for 2 and scored twice, while first-year player Jarred Morrow had a hit. David Smith and Evan Desmond did the pitching for VFW.
S.W. Collins 14, Police 8
    It was a day for first-year players as S.W. Collins ran its way to another victory by holding off the strong Police team May 16. Nicholas Allen reached base four times with a single and three walks while Tyler Wright walked three times and singled to left field. The two combined to score seven of their team’s runs. Donovan Savage went 4 for 5 with three runs and three RBIs and Zach Wright went 3 for 4, including an inside-the-park homer.
    The Police started slow but Tyler Dombroski, who went 2 for 3 with two runs scored, drove in Jake Whitten for the team’s first run. Whitten, Reece McDougal, Dylan Paddleford and Bailey Griffeth all scored for Police later in the game as well.
    Dombroski went 3-1/3 innings with nine strikeouts and Dylan Lamothe went the final 2-2/3 with four strikeouts for Police. For the Collins Crew, Savage pitched 4-1/3 innings, striking out nine, before giving way to Taylor Miller and Wright, who combined for four strikeouts.
