Pines Health Services participated in the Caribou City-wide Yard Sale on May 15, but not with spring-cleaning in mind. The real goal of the Pines Yard Sale was to raise additional money for the March of Dimes March for Babies, in which Pines team members walked on May 15 in Presque Isle.

Through the yard sale, walk pledges and footprint sales, Pines staff with their friends and families collected $719.96 for Maine’s babies.
Employees from various Pines Health Center offices throughout the county donated a wide variety of items to the yard sale, which were displayed at the Caribou Health Center located at 74 Access Highway. All items remaining at the end of the sale were donated to Catholic Charities – Maine.
Caribou’s City-Wide Yard Sale was the ideal setting for Pines to set up shop along the Access Highway. Not only could patrons browse a wide variety of clothing, furniture, appliances and toys; they could also pause under the sun and enjoy a hot dog fresh off the grill and a cold drink.
Patti Dorman, supervisor of the Pines Women’s and Children’s Health Center, knows first-hand that the efforts of her Pines team were worth it.
“Pines Health Services has participated in the ‘March for Babies’ annual fund-raiser for many years. The monies raised stay in our state and help support the research for our infants born prematurely or with medical complications,” stated Dorman.
“Pines Health Services is all about raising healthy babies and kids so they can grow into healthy adults in our great state of Maine,” she added.
Pines Health Services is a non-profit physician practice with more than 30 providers at offices located in Caribou, Presque Isle, Van Buren and Limestone. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Pines Health Services provides comprehensive primary care services to residents throughout Aroostook County, ensuring access for those who are unserved, underserved, or unable to pay for routine medical services.
