East Grand paddlers second in challenge

    Orono High School is the 2010 winner of the Maine Canoe Kayak Racing Organization (Mackro) High School Challenge.
     The High School Challenge was not based on individual finishes, but total group involvement, including  number of canoes entered, top three boat times from each school, dropping the lowest out of the three races.
    The following is a breakdown of races and scoring:
Rule Summary:
    1.The canoeing leg only of the East Grand Adventure Race counted for this challenge.
    2. Schools are awarded one point for entering a race, plus one point for every school they beat at that race.
    3. Lowest of the four scores dropped — (*).
    4. Tie breaker: first tie-breaker will honor the total points scored; second tie-breaker will honor the total number of boats entered into the races.
