PRESQUE ISLE – The Caribou boys and girls swept Aroostook League track championships last Tuesday at the Johnson Athletic Complex. The Viking girls tallied 281 points to finish ahead of Presque Isle (57), Fort Kent (34) and Fort Fairfield (16).
Caribou’s boys racked up 167.5 points to get past Presque Isle (101.5), Fort Fairfield (52), Fort Kent (47) and LCS-MSSM (24).
Olivia Sleeper of Caribou took home the Howard Lello Award as the top point scorer on the girls’ side with 26 points – one more than Fort Kent’s Gabby Naranja. Jenna Selander of Caribou was third with 19 points.
For boys, the Emery Plourde Award went to Jahleel Williams of Fort Fairfield with 24 points. Caribou athletes Matt Till (24) and Christian Sleeper (22) were second and third, respectively.
