Council could take lesson from SAD 1 playbook

To the editor:
    The SAD1 School Board has been struggling with their budget for some time now. They have had to make difficult financial decisions. The result is a reduced staff, a school teacher wage freeze and less programs for the next school year.

    Just about the time the school board finished their budget, the city took down its Christmas lights. Maybe the city manager and city council should take a page out of the school board’s playbook. It may result in yet another new direction.
