Class of 2010 honor parts

    EASTON — The principal of Easton Junior Senior High School, Georgette Ireland, is pleased to announce the honor parts for the graduation ceremonies of the Class of 2010. The graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 4. 

 

Valedictorian
 Lisa Dayringer

    Lisa Dayringer is the daughter of Timothy and Gayle Dayringer. Lisa has participated in soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, Varsity Club, One Act Play, Senior Play, Junior Exhibition and Key Club. She has served as a class vice-treasurer, National Honor Society treasurer and NHS state vice president.
    Lisa was awarded second place for her Junior Exhibition performance. She has been a member of the chorus and jazz choir and also participated in Girls’ State.
    She was the recipient of the 2010 Maine Principal’s Award. Lisa will attend Elmira College in the fall where she will be a member of their speech and hearing program. 

 

Salutatorian
Kaitlin Bennett

    Kaitlin Bennett is the daughter of Karen Gonya. Kaitlin has been active in basketball, Key Club and French Club. Kaitlin traveled to France in the summer of 2009 with the French Club. She has been a member of the Math Team and has been vice president and treasurer for her class. She was inducted into the National Honor Society.
    Kaitlin has also served as a co-president for the French Club, treasurer for Key Club and vice president for NHS. Kaitlin is also a volunteer with the Easton Fire Department.
    Kaitlin will be attending the Wentworth Institute of Technology where she will study interior design.

 

1st Honor Essayist
Luke Fuller

    Luke Fuller is the son of David and Tammy Fuller. Luke has been a key player in Easton basketball, soccer and volleyball. Luke was elected as a member of the Student Council and the captain of the soccer team.
    Luke plays in the band and was inducted into the National Honor Society. He has also been a member of the Varsity Club. Luke’s fall plans include attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle where he will study criminal justice. 

 

2nd Honor Essayist
Anna Sherwood

    Anna Sherwood is the daughter of Cathleen Sherwood. Anna has participated in volleyball, basketball and Upward Bound.
    She has been a member of the Varsity Club, Student Council, Key Club and Math Team. Anna was inducted into the National Honor Society. Anna has served as a class president, Eastonia yearbook assistant editor and yearbook editor.
    Anna is a talented artist and has received the art award several times. Her hard work has paid off during her high school career and will serve her well as she studies human ecology at College of the Atlantic.
