May 5 was ACES Day and many school children across Maine, throughout the country and around the globe participated in the program that sees “all children exercising simultaneously for a period of 15 to 45 minutes.”

Students at Hilltop Elementary School in Caribou literally stepped up to take part, as they made a number of trips around the grassy side of the schoolyard, led by Todd Albert, health and physical education teacher for the young students.
The ACES program encourages all children to become aware of the benefits of being physically fit and so hopefully they will continue to follow a healthy lifestyles.
