VaJoWa will be holding its first scramble of the season on May 29, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee for the scramble will be just $10, which will involve pins, skins and top teams. Sign up individually in the pro shop, and teams will be formed by a blind draw, with each team containing an A, B and C level player.
The course is remaining in great shape for early in the season, and wet spots are becoming minimal. The maintenance crew is working on getting the irrigation system up and running, to make sure the greens stay in mid-summer form.
Once again, leagues will be starting up in less than a month. Men’s Twilight League is currently taking signups in the pro shop, and is scheduled to start on June 15. Ladies’ Day begins on June 8, and Couples will be golfing each Sunday at 3 p.m.
New equipment is still coming into the shop, so be sure to browse around for something new before teeing off. Nearly all old stock has been discounted, and there are items that will fit players of all skill levels.
