LIMESTONE — Volunteer firefighter Gerry Gendreau of Caswell, 33, has been with the Limestone Fire Department for two years and has wanted to be a firefighter since he was a boy and working his way through the Boy Scout program all the way up through his Eagle Scout.     “Being a firefighter is an honor,” he said. “You get to help people and can even save their lives.”
Gerry is a seasonal driver for Lanes Construction Corp., a part-time employee of McDonalds in Presque Isle and works full-time at Northeast Packing of Caribou.
When he’s not working, Gerry likes four-wheeling and spending time with his family.
Him and his fiancée, Holly Stanfield, are expecting a baby boy, who they will name Issiah Joseph.
Gerry likes lasagna and home-cooked meals, but isn’t a fan of onions, mushrooms or peppers.
He likes to listen to rock and country music, and looks forward to annual events at the Limestone Fire Department such as setting of the fireworks during the Fourth of July festivities and getting together with the other firefighters for their annual banquet.
