Ladies Auxiliary donates to hospital

CARIBOU — The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 15 Henry B Pratt Jr. of Caribou decided that as part of their Child and Youth Committee they would designate funds for the purchase of stuffed animals to benefit children who must visit the emergency room, undergo surgery or need blood work done at the hospital. Individual members made donations of stuffed animals as well in addition to those purchased through fund-raising. The plushy donation was made on April 19 at the American Legion in Caribou and over 100 stuffed animals were donated. Many of the fluffy friends have already been put to good use at Cary Medical Center, finding new homes with young patients.
