FORT FAIRFIELD — During the May 1st May Day Pageant Extravaganza at the Fort Fairfield Middle/High school Kelsie Wilson was crowned 2010 Miss Fort Fairfield, Aleesha Campbell was crowned 2010 Teen Miss Fort Fairfield and Janae Libby was crowned 2010 Junior Miss Fort Fairfield.
There few a few things different about this year’s pageants; contestants were given the responsibility of obtaining their own sponsors, the Miss Congeniality award was renamed the Linda Cox Baldini Miss Congeniality Award after Miss Congeniality of the 1970 pageant, and the Teen Miss Pageant was an all together new addition for the Fort Fairfield royal court.
Whether or not the crowd was drawn to the event by recent pageant additions, just over 400 people attended the 2010 May Day Pageant Extravaganza.
There were 11 contestants for the three crowns during the pageants that were directed by Wanda Ouellette.
Junior Miss Fort Fairfield contestants included Libby, Cassidy Godin, Marissa Clark, Sarah Watt and Jordann Coiley.
