LIMESTONE – Omar E. Doody, Jr., 88, passed away peacefully Friday, April 23, 2010, at a Van Buren Nursing Home. Omar was born July 31, 1921, in Limestone, the son of Omar E. and Angie Grass Doody, Sr.
Omar was a lifelong resident of Limestone, having worked both in farming and for more than twenty years as a Heating Plant Operator at Loring Air Force Base. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening in his free time. He is survived by his sons, David Doody of Limestone, Gale Doody of Limestone, and Dale Doody of Brunswick. In addition to his parents, Omar was predeceased by his loving wife, Leitha McCarthy Doody.
