 ImageImageNORTH AMITY – Glendon R. Clifford, 63, died April 19, 2010 at his home. He was born Dec. 16, 1946 in Lewiston, the son of Roscoe and Lenora (Lindsay) Clifford.
    Glen graduated from Old Town High School in 1965 and the University of Maine, Orono, in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in forest management. After college he was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. Glen worked for many years for Louisiana Pacific and loved working outdoors. After retirement he even operated his own small sawmill. He had also served on the board of selectmen and was an active member of Linneus Snowmobile Club.
    He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Share of Hampden; a son, Andrew Clifford of Wells; a grandson, Devon Share of Hampden; two sisters, Sharon Gray and her husband, Bill, of Windham and Lois Lavoie and her husband, Rick, of Merrimack, N.H.; his soul mate, Barbara Austin; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his longtime friend, Larry Sweetland.
    Friends called 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 24 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services were held 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Ganglfinger officiating.
